This meditation builds the capacity, with practice, to be able to meet with curiosity and kindness your emotions. To hold them with care and respect. To let them come and to let them go. 

Sometimes with emotions we do need support from someone else to hold and process them. Don't feel you have to do this on your own. Listen to what you need and reach out for help and support.

With any meditation practice, it's important to throw away your expectations about how it should feel and what you should experience. Every meditation is different, every moment is unique. All you have to do is be curious and kind and allow each moment to be as it is (and this includes noticing that you are really battling with this moment or if you notice that you keep getting completely distracted!) It is a training for the mind and an opportunity to learn about the mind, body and heart interaction. Can you allow and be curious about your experience in this moment? What do you notice?
